Rapid Funded Trader

An Institutional-Style Market Intelligence Indicator
Developed by Plazo Sullivan Roche Capital (PSRC)
Version 2.3 | TradingView | Pine Script v6
1. Introduction
Markets are not random collections of candlesticks. Price moves through changing environments shaped by liquidity, participation, volatility, positioning, and the interaction between buyers and sellers.
The challenge for traders is not simply identifying where price might move. It is determining whether the prevailing market environment supports the trade they are considering.
Rapid Funded Trader is an institutional-style market intelligence indicator developed by Plazo Sullivan Roche Capital to help traders analyze price location, potential mean-reversion opportunities, higher-timeframe directional bias, and market-regime probabilities within a unified framework.

Also vailable on:
Ninjatrader, cAlgo cBot and MT5
QuantConnect (Lean Engine)
Python Stack (andas, scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM, and PyTorch)
The indicator combines five analytical components:
Anchored Volume-Weighted Average Price (AVWAP) — identifies the volume-weighted reference price from a selected New York session anchor.
Statistical Deviation Analysis — measures how far price has moved from its anchored volume-weighted mean.
Market Structure Mapping — identifies potential stop-loss locations and three progressive profit-taking levels.
Institutional Daily Bias and Markov Regime Analysis — evaluates higher-timeframe direction and historical market-state transitions.
Weighted Fuzzy Decision Engine — combines directional evidence into a simplified Bull, Bear, or Neutral assessment.
Rapid Funded Trader is designed to support disciplined discretionary analysis, forward testing, and structured trade review.
It is not an automated trading system, a guarantee of profitability, or a substitute for independent risk management.
Python Confirmation with ChatGPT Claude or Grok
Download the Full PSRC AI Confirmation Engine on Python
For extra confirmation, you can integrate the TradingView-to-AI verification service with the supplemental python layer. Rapid Funded Trader generates the original BUY/SELL signal; Python then independently asks ChatGPT, Claude, and/or Grok whether the market evidence supports that trade.
The important distinction is that AI confirmation is not another trading signal. It is a second-stage assessment of the original signal, designed to identify conflicting market conditions, weak reward-to-risk, and reasons to reject a trade.
The architecture:

AI engine evaluates signals, records results, and can forward a confirmation report to a notification webhook. It will not place broker orders.
How consensus works
The default rules are conservative and configurable.
AI results | Final decision |
At least 2 CONFIRM votes, no objections | CONFIRM |
Any model rejects | REJECT |
Model requests more evidence | WAIT |
Any configured API fails | INSUFFICIENT DATA |
TP1 reward-to-risk below 1.0 | REJECT |
The gateway accepts signals immediately and processes AI requests asynchronously, so TradingView doesn't need to wait for all three models to respond.
The integration uses the official OpenAI Responses API, Anthropic Messages API, and xAI's API interface.
OpenAI API Reference+1
Important integration requirement
Your current Rapid Funded Trader v2.3 sends human-readable alert messages. The Python gateway requires structured JSON.
Our dev team included the replacement Pine Script alert block in the README. Once installed, TradingView can send signals directly to the Python service through an HTTPS webhook.
2. The Core Philosophy: Price, Value, and Market Regime
Institutional-style trading begins with three questions:
Where is price relative to a meaningful benchmark?
A volume-weighted average provides a reference for assessing whether price is trading above or below the average transacted price since a defined anchor.
Has price moved unusually far from that benchmark?
Statistical deviation bands help identify potential extensions away from the anchored mean.
Does the broader market environment support continuation or reversion?
Daily directional evidence and market-regime analysis provide context for evaluating whether a countertrend opportunity is occurring within a strong directional environment.
Rapid Funded Trader integrates these questions into a single chart-based analytical process.
Its objective is not to predict every market movement. Its objective is to make market conditions more observable and trading decisions more systematic.
3. The AVWAP Signal Engine
3.1 Anchored Volume-Weighted Average Price
The indicator calculates an anchored VWAP using:
AVWAP = Σ(Price × Volume) / Σ(Volume)
The calculation uses the typical price of each bar—high, low, and close divided by three—weighted by reported volume.
Unlike a continuously rolling moving average, anchored VWAP begins accumulating data from a specified event or time.
Rapid Funded Trader supports two configurable New York anchors:
01:00 New York time: An earlier overnight reference capturing more of the pre-European trading period.
03:00 New York time: A reference aligned more closely with the beginning of active European market participation.
The default is 03:00 New York time.
The script uses the America/New_York timezone, accommodating changes between Eastern Standard Time and Eastern Daylight Time.
Neither anchor should be interpreted as universally superior. Anchor effectiveness depends on the instrument, market conditions, and independently verified results.
3.2 Statistical Deviation Bands
The indicator calculates the volume-weighted standard deviation of price around AVWAP.
Upper Band = AVWAP + (0.80 × σ)
Lower Band = AVWAP − (0.80 × σ)
Where σ represents the volume-weighted standard deviation since the selected anchor.
The default deviation multiplier is 0.80. Increase to 2.0 for greater safety.
These bands identify relative price extensions. They are not automatic reversal levels.
A price excursion beyond a deviation band can represent temporary imbalance, but it may also reflect legitimate directional repricing.
3.3 BUY Signal Logic
A potential BUY signal develops when:
Price reaches or moves below the lower AVWAP deviation band.
The indicator records the excursion and its lowest price.
On a subsequent confirmed candle, price closes back above the lower deviation band.
The signal occurs within the configured trading session.
The proposed stop-loss location is below the signal reference price.
When these conditions are satisfied, the indicator displays a PSRC BUY label and plots its reference levels.
The logic seeks to identify potential recovery toward the anchored mean following a downside excursion.
3.4 SELL Signal Logic
A potential SELL signal develops when:
Price reaches or moves above the upper AVWAP deviation band.
The indicator records the excursion and its highest price.
On a subsequent confirmed candle, price closes back below the upper deviation band.
The signal occurs within the configured trading session.
The proposed stop-loss location is above the signal reference price.
When these conditions are satisfied, the indicator displays a PSRC SELL label and plots its reference levels.
The logic seeks to identify potential movement back toward the anchored mean following an upside excursion.
3.5 Signal Confirmation
Signals are generated using confirmed candle closes.
This reduces intrabar signal instability and avoids presenting an unconfirmed band reclaim as a completed signal.
The indicator is designed primarily for the 1-minute timeframe.
A displayed signal is an analytical event, not a recommendation to enter immediately or evidence that the projected targets will be reached.
4. Structural Stop Loss and Three Take-Profit Levels
Every qualifying signal generates five horizontal reference levels:
ENTRY | STOP LOSS | TP1 | TP2 | TP3
4.1 Entry Reference
The entry reference is the closing price of the confirmed signal candle, rounded to the instrument's minimum tick size.
It is not a guaranteed executable fill price.
Actual fills may differ because of spread, slippage, latency, and market conditions.
4.2 Stop-Loss Placement
The stop-loss reference is based on the recorded excursion extreme.
For BUY signals:
SL = Excursion Low − Stop Buffer
For SELL signals:
SL = Excursion High + Stop Buffer
The default buffer is four minimum price ticks.
This approach places the stop beyond the excursion extreme, rather than using an arbitrary fixed-dollar distance.
However, structure-based stops do not guarantee protection from gaps or rapid price movement.
4.3 Three Progressive Take-Profit Levels
The indicator searches for potential structural price objectives using:
Anchored VWAP and its deviation bands
Confirmed swing highs and swing lows
Previous completed daily highs and lows
Rolling historical structure highs and lows
The target-selection algorithm chooses progressively farther eligible price levels in the direction of the signal.
TP1 — Nearest qualifying structural objective
The first available objective beyond the entry reference.
TP2 — Secondary structural objective
The next qualifying level beyond TP1.
TP3 — Extended structural objective
The next qualifying level beyond TP2.
Where insufficient qualifying levels exist, the indicator calculates additional objectives using projections derived from the observed rolling price range.
Important: A projected objective is not the same as confirmed support or resistance. The current version does not separately label projected and confirmed targets.
The indicator does not automatically execute partial exits, move stops to breakeven, or trail positions.
Those actions remain the responsibility of the trader.
5. Institutional Daily Bias
The Institutional Daily Bias module estimates directional context using three observations.
Component | Weight |
Previous daily close relative to the daily EMA | 40% |
Previous daily candle direction | 30% |
Current price relative to the previous daily midpoint | 30% |
The default daily EMA period is 20.
The previous day's candle and EMA values are taken from completed daily bars to avoid relying on an unfinished daily candle.
The current price-location component updates as the market develops.
The module produces a directional score ranging from −1 to +1.
BULLISH: Score above +0.15
BEARISH: Score below −0.15
NEUTRAL: Score between these thresholds
Interpretation
A bullish daily bias indicates that the weighted observations favor an upward directional context.
A bearish daily bias indicates that the weighted observations favor a downward directional context.
A neutral reading indicates mixed or insufficient directional evidence.
The term institutional describes the use of market benchmarks and higher-timeframe analytical principles commonly associated with professional trading workflows.
It does not imply access to confidential institutional positions, order books, proprietary dealer flows, or actual institutional transaction records.
6. Markov Market Regime Engine
Financial markets alternate between different behavioral states.
A strategy that performs well during balanced trading conditions may behave very differently during persistent directional trends.
Rapid Funded Trader uses an empirical, first-order, three-state Markov model to describe these changes.
6.1 The Three Market States
Bull Trend
Price is above the regime EMA, the EMA slope is positive, ADX exceeds its configured threshold, and positive directional movement exceeds negative directional movement.
Bear Trend
Price is below the regime EMA, the EMA slope is negative, ADX exceeds its configured threshold, and negative directional movement exceeds positive directional movement.
Range / Transition
Conditions do not satisfy the defined bullish or bearish trend criteria.
6.2 Transition Probabilities
The engine analyzes historical transitions among the three states.
It estimates:
P(Bull): Probability of the next classified state being bullish
P(Range): Probability of the next classified state being ranging or transitional
P(Bear): Probability of the next classified state being bearish
The model uses a rolling observation window and Laplace smoothing to reduce zero-frequency estimates.
Its default transition window is 300 observations on the chart timeframe.
6.3 Interpretation
A high bullish transition probability indicates that historical transitions from the current classified state have frequently led to another bullish state.
A high bearish probability indicates a greater historical frequency of bearish next-state transitions.
A high ranging probability indicates that the model expects persistence or movement toward non-trending conditions, based on its historical classification frequencies.
These are empirical, model-defined transition estimates—not calibrated probabilities of price rising, a target being reached, or a trade becoming profitable.
The model is not a hidden Markov model and does not use proprietary institutional positioning data.
7. Weighted Fuzzy Decision Engine
Market evidence rarely produces perfect agreement.
The daily bias may favor buyers while the shorter-term Markov regime favors sellers. Instead of forcing an absolute conclusion from either component alone, Rapid Funded Trader uses a weighted directional scoring model.
Default Formula
Decision Score = 0.60 × Daily Bias Score + 0.40 × Markov Score
Where:
Markov Score = P(Bull) − P(Bear)
The default decision thresholds are:
Decision | Weighted Score |
BULL | Above +0.15 |
NEUTRAL | −0.15 to +0.15 |
BEAR | Below −0.15 |
The weighting and neutral-zone thresholds are user-configurable.
This is a fuzzy-style weighted evidence model, not a machine-learning classifier trained to predict future returns.
Why This Matters
The combined decision gives traders a concise directional assessment without hiding the underlying daily and regime readings.
A BUY signal during a bullish daily bias and bullish regime may represent a different market context from a BUY signal against both readings.
These distinctions are useful research categories.
The dashboard does not filter or suppress AVWAP signals. Its purpose is to provide context and allow forward testers to compare signal outcomes across different market conditions.
8. The PSRC Institutional Dashboard
The indicator features a compact black-and-gold dashboard containing three core readings.
Dashboard Reading | Purpose |
Institutional Daily Bias | Higher-timeframe directional context |
Markov Regime | Current classified market state and transition estimates |
Weighted Decision | Combined Bull, Bear, or Neutral directional assessment |
Green represents bullish readings, red represents bearish readings, and gold represents neutral or transitional conditions.
The dashboard is intended to improve situational awareness, not replace independent trade analysis.
9. Supported Assets and Recommended Timeframes
Primary Research Instrument
CME E-mini Nasdaq-100 Futures (NQ)
Rapid Funded Trader was initially developed around the behavior of NQ futures on a 1-minute chart.
Its anchor settings, signal timing, and market-structure assumptions were designed with that environment in mind.
Additional Instruments for Exploratory Testing
Asset | Symbol Examples | Status |
E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures | NQ1! | Primary research instrument |
Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures | MNQ1! | Candidate for independent testing |
E-mini S&P 500 futures | ES1! | Exploratory |
Micro E-mini S&P 500 futures | MES1! | Exploratory |
Dow futures | YM1! | Exploratory |
Gold futures | GC1! | Exploratory |
Spot gold | XAUUSD | Requires feed-specific validation |
Major forex pairs | EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY | Requires tick-volume validation |
Timeframe: 1 minute.
The current indicator intentionally restricts its signal engine to the 1-minute timeframe. Other timeframes should not be represented as supported without a separately validated implementation.
Volume Data Considerations
On centralized futures markets, the indicator generally uses exchange-reported traded volume.
On decentralized markets such as spot forex, TradingView feeds may supply tick volume rather than consolidated traded volume.
Consequently, the statistical interpretation of AVWAP may differ across instruments and data providers.
No profitability claim is made for any instrument in this list.
10. Recommended Trading Workflow
Step 1 — Establish the Trading Environment
Open the relevant 1-minute chart and confirm that the correct symbol, exchange feed, and New York session settings are selected.
Verify the configured AVWAP anchor.
Step 2 — Read the Institutional Dashboard
Before evaluating an entry, identify the daily bias, Markov regime, and weighted decision.
Record these readings as they appear at signal confirmation.
Step 3 — Observe the AVWAP Excursion
Watch for price reaching an outer deviation band.
Do not assume that the initial touch guarantees a reversal.
Step 4 — Wait for a Confirmed Reclaim
A qualifying signal requires a subsequent confirmed candle close back inside the relevant deviation band.
The indicator then displays BUY or SELL.
Step 5 — Evaluate Structural Risk
Review the plotted entry reference, stop-loss location, and three targets.
Calculate the actual reward-to-risk ratios from the intended executable entry.
Reject any discretionary trade that violates the trader's predefined risk limits.
Step 6 — Evaluate Market Context
Consider whether the signal aligns with or opposes the dashboard readings.
This distinction should be documented rather than used as an untested assumption of higher profitability.
Step 7 — Manage the Position Independently
Determine position size, execution method, partial-profit rules, and stop-management procedures before entering.
The indicator does not manage live positions.
Step 8 — Record the Outcome
Document the result, including maximum favorable excursion, maximum adverse excursion, slippage, and realized profit or loss.
11. Risk Management Best Practices
Rapid Funded Trader is intended to support disciplined evaluation, particularly in environments where strict drawdown limits matter.
Recommended practices include:
Predefine risk per trade. Use a fixed risk budget based on account equity and the distance to the intended stop. For initial research, a conservative illustrative range is 0.25%–0.50% per trade, subject to the trader's own risk tolerance and account rules.
Respect daily loss limits. Establish a hard daily loss threshold and stop trading when reached.
Avoid uncontrolled exposure. Multiple correlated positions can create substantially greater risk than their individual stop distances suggest.
Account for execution costs. Commissions, spread, slippage, and contract tick value must be included when evaluating performance.
Treat major economic releases separately. Events such as CPI, FOMC announcements, and employment reports can produce rapid repricing that undermines ordinary mean-reversion assumptions.
Do not equate high win rates with profitability. Average win, average loss, expectancy, drawdown, and transaction costs are equally important.
Do not assume dashboard alignment guarantees success. Higher-timeframe agreement is a research variable, not a proven performance enhancer.
Verify projected targets. Where confirmed structural levels are unavailable, the indicator may display range-derived projections.
Observe funded-account restrictions. Traders using proprietary trading evaluations should independently verify permitted instruments, position sizes, maximum drawdown, news-event restrictions, and overnight holding rules.
12. Unified TradingView Alerts
Rapid Funded Trader includes a unified BUY/SELL alert system.
A single TradingView alert can notify traders of either signal direction.
The dynamic notification contains:
Instrument and timeframe
BUY or SELL direction
Signal-close entry reference
Structural stop-loss reference
TP1, TP2, and TP3
Institutional Daily Bias
Markov Regime
Weighted Decision and fuzzy score
Setup
In TradingView, add the indicator to the chart, open the alert dialog, and select:
Rapid Funded Trader → Any alert() function call
Set the trigger to Once Per Bar Close and select the desired delivery method.
A single alert handles both BUY and SELL signals.
Alert prices are analytical references. They are not guaranteed execution prices.
13. Forward-Testing and Performance Evaluation
Rapid Funded Trader is currently positioned as a discretionary forward-testing instrument.
Its original unconditional AVWAP-reversion strategy was evaluated historically on NQ futures using both 01:00 and 03:00 New York anchors.
The purpose of the indicator release is to facilitate transparent human observation and structured evaluation, including whether market regime, daily directional context, or structural exits are associated with materially different outcomes.
For meaningful evaluation, traders should record all qualifying signals rather than selectively reporting successful examples.
Forward-test performance should be analyzed using predefined procedures, including realistic costs, consistent execution assumptions, and sufficient sample sizes.
The addition of three structural targets and a contextual dashboard does not establish profitability without independent evidence.
14. Limitations
Rapid Funded Trader does not:
Access proprietary institutional trading positions or confidential order-flow information.
Guarantee that deviation-band excursions will revert to AVWAP.
Predict future market prices with certainty.
Guarantee the accuracy of Markov transition estimates.
Automatically execute trades or manage live positions.
Guarantee stop-loss execution at the displayed level.
Guarantee that projected structural targets will be reached.
Establish a profitable trading edge merely through the presence of multiple analytical models.
Historical chart behavior may differ from live execution because of feed differences, session definitions, liquidity, slippage, and the availability of intrabar information.
The current indicator requires platform verification and independent forward testing before its outputs can be relied upon operationally.
15. Frequently Asked Questions
Is Rapid Funded Trader a trading bot?
No. It is a TradingView indicator that generates analytical signals and price references. It does not automatically place or manage orders.
Is it designed for funded trading accounts?
Its visual structure and risk-reference features may be useful to traders evaluating funded-account opportunities. However, it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or guaranteed to satisfy the rules of any proprietary trading firm.
Why does it use anchored VWAP instead of a standard moving average?
AVWAP incorporates reported volume into the average price and measures that average from a specified market-time anchor.
Does the dashboard determine which signals appear?
No. BUY and SELL signals are generated independently of the institutional dashboard.
Are the three take-profit levels guaranteed structural turning points?
No. They are selected from qualifying price references, with range-derived projections used when insufficient levels exist.
Does a BULL decision mean price will rise?
No. It means the weighted model's directional evidence exceeds its bullish threshold.
Can it be used on gold, forex, or other indices?
Those instruments can be explored, but their results must be validated independently. The current signal engine is designed for 1-minute charts.
